The Association

What

The EFETA Association provides the framework for the development of a non sexist formative theology, in a Spanish language environment, connected to the cultural, religious and plural reality of daily life.

The Escuela Feminista de Teología de Andalucía depends on this non profit Association EFETA, based in Spanish territory, with registration number group 1 section 1, national number 587720, in the Ministry of Interior Associactions, Madrid, whose registered office is at C/ Alberche, 4A, 7D, 41005, SEVILLA, and telephone number 678599485.

The EFETA Association’s Working team:

The working team is composed of all persons associated with the School (scientific committee, management and secretary committees, professors), the members of the management board and specifically the coordinators:

  • Coordinator of the Library: Anabella Barroso
  • Coordinators of Communication and PR: Isabel Gómez Acebo
  • Coordinators of Umbrales: Mª José Ferrer; Mª Dolores Díaz de Miranda; Ermina Herrera

Why

The Association is the main frame surrounding the School, the arena that connects the academic teachings with the extracurricular life. It is the ongoing reminder of its goal to transform reality (the political dimension) and its scope to expand and irradiation.

According to its statutes the Association’s goals are to

  • Offer a systematic base formation to all persons interested in feminist theology, especially women.
  • Create areas of reflection, study and permanent discussion.
  • Promote activities that help realize the first two goals.

Additionally the Association is a platform for support and sustainability for the School thanks to associated persons. Hence if you’d like to support this project send us a mail and become one of two types of members:

  • Ordinary member: annual fee
  • Collaborative member: by paying the amount you deem adequate

Through What

The EFETA Association offers different services in the virtual arena that respond to the demands of many women. Those who visit this page can do the following

  • Find quality resources in order to learn in the spiritual path which influences the individual and sociopolitical dimension
  • Share with other people their own experiences and hear about the experiences of others
  • Get in touch with people who share similar interests
  • Enter and join areas of dialogue and exchange, debate and discussion regarding important issues
  • Solicit accompaniment in their spiritual path and or faith
  • Take time to learn, read and grow as persons

How

The EFETA Association, following the same spirit as the School, albeit using a different methodology, displays itself through online activities, in different spaces and through a variety of activities.
